This module focuses on osteoporosis, including its risk factors, prevalence and diagnosis. We also look at the medications available to improve outcomes for people with osteoporosis.
On completion of this module, it is expected that the candidate will have a greater understanding of the factors that contribute to the condition, as well as the medications used in the management of the disease, and finally how the role of the pharmacist can help to support people at risk of osteoporosis
