This module focuses on the clinical considerations in schizophrenia, including aetiology and pharmacological management. This includes epidemiology, treatment resistance and potential side-effects of schizophrenia therapies, and it will briefly examine the choice of treatments in the presence of comorbidities. On completion of this module, it is expected that the candidate will have an enhanced understanding of the multifactorial clinical considerations in schizophrenia, including distinguishing symptoms, the use of antipsychotics and potential drug-drug interactions.
