Migraine is a complex neurological disorder in which under-diagnosis and under-treatment is widespread. There has been much excitement in the headache community in the last few years as migraine-specific preventative treatments, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) antagonist drugs, have finally come to the market. This CPD module aims to make healthcare professionals more aware of the many non-headache presentations of migraine, highlight why migraine is under diagnosed, and discuss the latest treatment approaches so the maximum amount of people with migraine can be helped.
