The goal of this module is to review the diagnosis, classification and treatment of patients with lipid disorders based on the updated 2019 European Society of Cardiology Guidelines. The content identifies key features in the recognition and treatment of lipid disorders in both primary and secondary prevention in a step wise approach. It also reviews new emerging treatments for resistant dyslipidaemias including the use of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitors and imaging techniques for risk stratification.
